Evaluation

The project didn't go as I painted at the start, I wanted to make something that I could go back on and be proud of, unfortunately it wasn't, I finished on time but had to leave out many things I wanted to dive in too, I didn't expect the video making to be so long.

I decently could do better I think I needed a more simple theme to work on instead of new cities or traveling, something more specific and less random would have helped to make the project more compact.

My Ideas during the project have changed many times due to the difficulty of some things, such as edit techniques and cool footage.

I'm sure I started this project with a higher expectation of my self in video editing so I made mistakes along the way that looking back show my immaturity, but I will learn from this project and approach different projects with more awareness, know I know my limits.

I loved looking at Seamus McGravey's work and that's why I chose to do a photography response to his work style and use of color, I respect his compositions and choice of color it really inspired me, but unfortunately I found out that is really difficult to be consistent with colors in video especially with no experience in actually filming footage.

I could say I enjoyed the editing even tho it wasn't great I find pleasure making transitions and seeing them flow nicely between one another.

One of the major problems wasn't thinking out a theme that had more context, I found it difficult to go around many city's and countries obviously, it wasn't a smart choice in my opinion, even taking good footage just walking around wasn't enough I think I should have set up more things and made more preparation on my trips.

A big mistake was not being able to make planning sheets and storyboards before going out, being such a generic topic I found it hard to put together scenes in my head.

Next time I would correct all of these negatives that I found in the course of this project.

I think I have learned that good planning is key in video making, I've discovered some new skills in editing, perfecting my transitions and sinking the footage with the soundtrack.

Overall I enjoyed this project even though I would change a lot of it if I had the time.

These last two years I've done a lot of things, in the first year of the course I participated at a work experience project called Enlightenment Bury where I helped an artist build his sculpture and was a wonderful experience and I made a lot of friends, then in the following months I got chosen with 2 other classmates to participate on a live brief challenge with different schools, and we ended up making an app presentation and managed to win the contest!

I learned a lot of new skills and passions I even did a lot of freelancing for some clubs in Italy, the jobs were basically creating posters and Instagram videos for specific dates.

As a class, we participated in two different museum events in Bury that went really well and I was really happy because we even kept contacts with the museum with which we did another project at the starting of this year.

I passed the year with a distinction with my FMP that was based on re-designing a skating park style, I made a video, posters, stickers and many other stuff includeding skateboards.

Then I passed on to this year where we worked on the Hallmark project, I, unfortunately, didn't win but had a good experience and learned a lot about how design companies work.

This year has been tuff and fun I enjoyed my stay in Bury and BuryCollege, but I can't wait to go on with my life and start a new chapter in Italy.
