I made these edit on photoshop I used a Gallery Filter to edit the desaturated img. 

Then I used text to crop pieces out of the image to have to some texture I did that even with the background circles.

Then used colors I thought looked convincing together   

 

I think these edits are actually quite appealing than other edits, they still have that gloomy side to them but I think the color is used way better here and has a much better impact on the viewer.
